CyberSecurity, Consultant
A Cybersecurity Consultant is responsible for identifying problems, evaluating security issues, assessing risk, and implementing solutions to address threats to a company’s computer networks and computer systems.
The job description of a Cybersecurity Consultant can include the following:
Responsibilities:
- Identifying vulnerable systems and suggesting changes to fix weaknesses.
- Testing and evaluating systems, networks, and digital assets for potential threats.
- Interviewing staff and managers about security measures.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies to minimize vulnerabilities.
- Presenting test results to company leaders and management.
- Monitoring the latest news and threats in the security industry.
- Supervising other staff and overseeing changes to network security.
- Educating staff on recognizing potential security risks and breaches.
Selection Criteria:
- Successful completion of a university degree or college diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Completed one or more Cybersecurity certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT
- ? years of experience
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Enjoy dealing with people both experts and those in nontechnical roles
